Homes within the Unionville Heritage Conservation District are subject to design review for exterior alterations, additions and even some window and roofline changes, administered alongside the standard City of Markham permit. We prepare heritage permit applications and drawings that respect the streetscape guidelines, so approvals move without repeated redesign.

Interior renovations in these homes are unrestricted by heritage rules, which lets us modernize kitchens, bathrooms and mechanical systems fully while keeping the front elevation exactly as the district requires.

In Milliken and the newer Cornell and Berczy Village communities, most projects are kitchen openings, basement finishing and second-storey additions for growing multi-generational households, often with a request for a separate basement suite with its own entrance.
